First, you’ll need to determine the weight of your envelope. The standard weight for a Manila envelope is 1 ounce. If your envelope weighs more than 1 ounce, you’ll need to use additional stamps.
Next, you’ll need to find the current price of a stamp. From 22 January 2023, the price of stamps has increased and now a First Class Forever stamps cost $0.66.
Now that you know the weight of your envelope and the current price of a stamp, you can calculate the number of stamps needed as follows: Number of stamps needed = Weight of envelope (in ounces) x Price of stamp ($0.66).

How Many Stamps Do I Need for a 5×7 Manila Envelope?
An envelope in manila cannot be smaller than 5 x 7 inches. It meets the requirement for being considered a size standard letter. A standard-sized letter can be sent through the USPS First-Class Mail Service.
A Manila envelope weighing less than 1 ounce requires one Forever stamp in order to cover the postage value. Forever Stamps are available at a price of $0.66 right now.
If you are mailing an envelope above 1 ounce weight (for an example 1.3 ounces), the USPS will charge $0.24 per additional ounce. The post office or online are both places where you can purchase additional ounce stamps.
Anything over 3.5 ounces, will be considered as a large envelope by USPS, and you would have to pay accordingly. You will be charged a “flat rate” on your envelope if it exceeds 3.5 ounces.

How Many Stamps Do I Need for a 6×9 Manila Envelope?
Like the 5 x 7 envelopes, the USPS considers 6 x 9 manila envelopes to be standard-size letters.
To cover the postage value of a 1 ounce Manila envelope, you will need 1 Forever stamp.
Just like with a 5×7 envelope you need an additional ounce stamp, similarly with a 6×9 envelope, you will need an additional ounce stamp. if the weight of your envelope varies from 1.1 ounce to 2 ounces. The price of additional ounce stamp is 24 cent in 2023.
Similarly you will need 2 additional ounce stamps, if the weight of your envelope varies from 2.1 ounce to 3 ounces.
After 3.5 ounces the Flat rate will be applied no matter the size of envelope.
How Many Stamps Do I Need for a 9×12 Manila Envelope?
As it fits standard 8 ½ x 11 inches papers, this is the most widely used manila envelope size.
USPS classifies this size of envelope as large envelope or flats which means the flat price will be applied.
The flat rate for respective weights (in ounces) are as follows:

Here they will charge you $1.32 for a 1 ounce 9×12 envelope. To get the $1.32 value you have to use 2 forever stamps as the price of a single forever stamp in July 2023 is $0.66.
So 2*0.66 = $1.32.
Now if your envelope is weights more then 1 ounces, lets say 2 ounces then you have to pay for that additional ounce and you have to use 1 additional ounce stamp which will cost you $0.24 as per January 2023 price update by USPS.
So for 2 ounces weight Manila envelope you have to use 3 stamps, 2 forever stamps and 1 additional ounce stamp.
Now, Keep adding more additional ounce if your envelopes weights more.
